They recommended reaching out to Microsoft for assistance, which led me here. If having both OS X and Windows 10 support is important, consider getting a USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter. Thought they should work with Windows 10, it is not guaranteed. I just downloaded and installed v 16.1.47.275 of the thunderbolt software from Gigabyte. Note: Again, these instructions and driver downloads are for Windows 7. Basically my USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 port on my computer reads as a USB-C port with card readers and the like, but my thunderbolt 3 devices it wont read.

They were clearly constrained by not being familiar with the Windows OS. I have looked at other thunderbolt drivers and cant find it there either. 3) Install Bootcamp windows 10 on internal SSD (whatever mode), failed with drivers issue 4) Install Bootcamp windows 7 on internal SSD (BIOS mode), success but Thunderbolt 1 can never be used even with intel driver installed TB1 external enclosure not working (can't even boot into windows) TB1 to USB 3. I had already talked with the Apple support team (and Dell support team) and they didn't have a solution.

It is definitely designed for Mac products, but many users seem to have success using it with the DP to Mini DP adapter and Windows 10. I need to use two monitors for my work and would like to make use of the Apple Cinema Display monitor since I don't have room to add a third monitor on my desk. I use the monitor for photo editing on my MacBook Pro laptop. I use Apple's Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter, and Apple's Thunderbolt 2 to Firewire adapter. In my case, I have an HP Spectre x360 with Thunderbolt 3 connections through USB-C ports. The only resolution option available using the Display Resolution setting has been1280 x 720. As I said before, make sure your connection is indeed Thunderbolt 3. I'm using a Dell Latitude 5500 laptop with a WD19TB docking station (connecting via a DisplayPort connection on the docking station). If the issue persists, then you may want to check with the Apple support team. In this case, we would suggest you to check, if you are able to change the resolution in Windows Settings > System > Display > Display Resolution. But you are using a Windows 10 operating system and that could be a concern.

We also noticed in the article that System Requirements are Mac with Mini DisplayPort connector & Mac OS X v10.6.4 or later.

Seems that you are using 27" Apple LED Cinema Display for your Dell Desktop PC. Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.
